Some mouthwatering news from the animal kingdom: The chances that Rhode Island lobsterman Denny Ingram would pull a very rare yellow lobster from Narragansett Bay seemed nearly impossible—one in 30 million, in fact—but that’s exactly what he did last week. And thankfully, Ingram plans to display, not eat, the yellow crustacean at the State Pier in Newport. According to experts, the crustacean’s yellow coloration is a result of a genetic feature.
