There’s been a major shakeup at CBS, and no, it has nothing to do with Charlie Sheen. Jeff Fager, the executive producer of 60 Minutes, will become the new chairman of CBS News on Tuesday, with Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports, assuming the role of chairman of CBS Sports, according to the network. David Rhodes, the head of television operations for Bloomberg News, will be the new president of CBS News under Fager, who will still run 60 Minutes. Leslie Moonves, the chief executive of the CBS Corporation, called Fager and Rhodes “the ultimate winning team.” The appointments will set in on February 22. The executive shuffle could affect whether CBS decides to renew Katie Couric’s contract this spring.
