Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari said in an opinion piece Monday that his country was not part of the mission that killed Osama bin Laden. But Zardari still left some key questions unanswered, although he insisted that his country was neither incompetent nor two-faced, the two options many have suggested as to how the terrorist mastermind hid in plain sight for so long. Despite Zardari’s claims that Sunday’s mission was the result of “a decade of cooperation and partnership between the United States and Pakistan,” U.S. lawmakers said they are reviewing the billions in military aid that the U.S. provides. “To make contributions to a country that isn’t going to be fully supportive is a problem for many,” said Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein.
