Amber Joy Vinson, the 29-year-old Dallas nurse who contracted Ebola from Thomas Duncan (the first patient diagnosed in the U.S.), may have begun showing symptoms of the virus on Friday, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spokesman said. This means that the CDC may now include people who were on Vinson’s flight from Cleveland to Dallas on Friday in its investigation of possible contacts. Dr. Marguerite Erme, medical director for Summit County, told a news conference that anyone who visited Coming Attractions Bridal & Formal Inc in Akron, Ohio (where Vinson spent the weekend planning her upcoming wedding) from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday should contact health officials. Previously, officials had said Vinson sought treatment Tuesday in Texas after displaying symptoms of an Ebola infection on Monday.
