Artillery fire broke out on Saturday between Pakistani and Indian border guards in the disputed border region of Kashmir. Four have been killed so far and eight wounded, according to officials. Each side blames the other for starting the fire, which began Friday night. The Pakistani military said in a statement that Indian forces violated a cease-fire by firing near the city of Sialkot and killing a 13-year-old girl. India, meanwhile, says that Pakistani shelling in the Kathua sector killed a woman and wounded seven villagers.
