After a summit of Arab leaders met this weekend, the Arab League announced that Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen will go on until Shiite rebels there “withdraw and surrender their weapons.” The countries at the summit also agreed in principle to a joint military force. The allied countries are challenging the Yemeni rebels known as the Houthis, which are backed by Iran. The Saudi-led coalition began bombing in Yemen on Thursday to target Houthis and forces loyal to former Yemen leader Ali Abdullah Saleh.
