African-American director Spike Lee and actress Jada Pinkett Smith will not attend the Oscars award ceremony later this year after the Academy nominated only white actors and actresses in the acting categories. Lee announced his decision in an Instagram post, asking how it’s possible for the second year in a row all 20 actors nominated are white.
