Gawker founder Nick Denton reportedly plans to file for personal bankruptcy after a judge denied a bankruptcy shield for the media mogul in the case brought forth by Hulk Hogan. After a court awarded Hogan $140 million in a judgment against Gawker, the media outlet filed for bankruptcy protection and went up for sale. On Tuesday, Denton told the court he would “obviously” file for personal bankruptcy to cover his own portion of the substantial damages owed.
