The FBI is launching an internal probe into one of its Twitter accounts, according to a report. The account in question, @FBIRecordsVault, tweeted for the first time in over a year on Oct. 30 with a link to documents relating to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump. Two days later, the account tweeted a link to documents relating to Bill Clinton’s pardon of Marc Rich. The investigation is going forward over concerns that the agency is attempting to influence the outcome of the election. The FBI, for its part, says the documents were posted and tweeted “automatically and electronically to the FBI’s public reading room in according with the law and established procedures.”
