TOP 10 RIGHT NOW
Maybe this will get New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) to reconsider his emphatic denial that he’s running for president. A new Quinnipiac poll says he’s the most popular politician in America right now. Respondents rated how favorably they viewed political figures on a scale of 1-100. Christie came in with an average of 57, while President Obama came in at 56.5. Respondents are split evenly about presumed GOP presidential candidates for 2012 Mike Huckabee (51.8) and Mitt Romney (50.4). Sarah Palin came in near the bottom with 38.2. However, America’s favorite political figures are the ones who don’t hold office: First Lady Michelle Obama topped the list at 60.1, followed by former President Bill Clinton with 59.2.
