Christie: Khan Family Has the ‘Right to Say Whatever They Want’

Despite his devotional support for Donald Trump’s presidential run, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie seems to disagree with the real-estate mogul’s decision to disparage the Muslim-American parents of a fallen U.S. Army captain. Khizr and Ghazala Khan have “the right to say whatever they want,” Christie told reporters Tuesday. “We need to honor their sacrifice for our country and we need to honor their son’s sacrifice for our country,” he added, later noting that “I haven’t heard or read every one of the statements that’s been made,” but that “I’m just telling you how I feel.”
