Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is having one of the best seasons of his career yet the Philadelphia Eagles just cut him. Apparently, Jackson’s possible gang affiliation outweighs his winning on-field performance. Sources close with the player and inside the Eagles’ organization told NJ.com he has a “bad attitude” and “inconsistent work ethic.” Despite an outwardly clean record, Jackson has also been interviewed in connection with two deadly gang related attacks—neither of which he was directly involved in—in the past three years. NFL franchises began monitoring off-the-field behavior after New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder last summer.
