Frank Caprio, Democratic Nom for Governor of RI to Obama: 'Shove It'
Rhode Island candidate doesn’t want endorsement.
A Democrat Sarah Palin could love: Of President Obama’s Monday visit to Rhode Island, Frank Caprio, the Democratic nominee for governor of Rhode Island, said, “He could take his endorsement and really shove it, as far as I’m concerned.” Caprio appears to be annoyed that Obama has withheld his support; the president is close with the independent nominee for governor of Rhode Island, Lincoln Chafee, a relationship that Caprio calls “Washington-insider politics at its worst.” Obama is in Rhode Island holding a fundraiser. Caprio said he’s treating the state “like an ATM machine.”
