Wael Ghonim, a Google executive who went missing during the Jan. 25 protests in Egypt, has been named spokesman of the 6th of April opposition movement. Mubarak’s government is suspected to be holding him, but they haven’t confirmed anything. So The 6th of April opposition group named Ghonim as their spokesman, hoping to force the government to release him if they want to negotiate. Ghonim’s family has reportedly received threatening phone calls telling them that Ghonim is being “taught a lesson.”
