Wait, what? Juror B37, the first of the six-woman jury to speak openly about the case, said during an Anderson Cooper 360 interview that George Zimmerman “didn’t do anything unlawful” and was “justified” in the shooting of Martin. Following Part 2 of CNN’s segment, which aired Tuesday, four other jurors (identified only by their pool numbers) responded to her comments in a statement: “We ask you to remember that we are not public officials and we did not invite this type of attention into our lives ... We also wish to point out that the opinions of Juror B37, expressed on the Anderson Cooper show, were her own, and not in any way representative of the jurors listed below,” they said. Juror B37 also said she believes race had nothing to do with this trial and that she hopes Zimmerman can move on.
