Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Wild Spending Spree in Athens Leaked

SPLURGING

Guilfoyle has approved the construction of a $58,000 basketball court at the ambassador’s official residence in Athens.

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s glamorous new life as a U.S. ambassador to Greece is drawing scrutiny after her lavish spending at her Athens residence was leaked.

Guilfoyle, who is Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée, has requested the construction of a $58,000 basketball court at the Jefferson House, her sprawling residence in Athens’ upscale Kolonaki neighborhood that is steps away from the Acropolis, reports the Daily Mail.

The new court is set to be built beside the estate’s pool and manicured gardens, adding another luxury feature to the already opulent property the 57-year-old has called home since November.

The project received Guilfoyle’s sign-off in December and comes with strict deadlines and demands. Contractors are required to finish the half-sized court within 45 days or face financial penalties. The contract also includes optional extras—such as chain-link fencing, windscreens, and LED lighting—that could drive the final cost even higher, reports the Mail.

The court’s construction is only part of the eyebrow-raising spending.

Leaked documents also show plans to hire a personal photographer for up to $29,000 to put on the government’s payroll.

The role would reportedly be on an “as-needed basis,” including after-hours and weekend work, up to 20 hours per month. Under the proposed terms, edited images would need to be delivered within 24 hours—or faster if requested by the embassy.

The Daily Beast has contacted the U.S. Embassy in Greece for comment.

The leaked spending details come as Guilfoyle has embraced a high-profile diplomatic lifestyle since her Nov. 1 move to the Greek capital, in which she arrived on the private plane of businessman Eric Vassilatos.

Guilfoyle had a whirlwind first 24 hours after settling in the Jefferson House, which Realtor.com describes as having “traditional Greek architectural elements along Palm Beach, Florida, aesthetic, harmonizing with the surrounding neighborhood.” She attended a luxury hotel dinner and was feted at a nightclub event hosted by the singer Konstantinos Argyros.

“I will not disappoint the U.S. and Greece,” she declared before joining guests in traditional dances.

Guilf Since then, she has launched into a string of high-profile appearances, attending elite social events, sitting courtside at local basketball games, and reportedly even taking excursions in the Aegean Sea aboard Vassilatos’ yacht. Last week, she returned to Washington to attend an event at the White House.

Guilfoyle was confirmed by the Senate as U.S. ambassador to Greece in September despite previously calling Greeks “freeloaders” when she was a co-host on Fox News’ The Five in 2015.

“You guys are retiring too early... And that’s part of the problem. You have, like, politicians making out-of-control promises, buying votes with entitlements that they can’t support,” she said, adding, “It doesn’t matter if you made great yogurt. I don’t care.”

Like when a “dog pees on the rug,” Guilfoyle said at the time that Greeks needed to be trained.

Guilfoyle was previously engaged to the president’s eldest son, whom she dated for six years, but separated in 2024.

Don Jr., 48, is now engaged to 39-year-old socialite Bettina Anderson.

Guilfoyle was also previously married to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom between 2001 and 2006. Newsom and Guilfoyle separated in 2004, the same year Newsom became mayor of San Francisco.
