North Korean leader Kim Jong Un praised President Donald Trump for his “unusual determination” towards resolving the North Korean nuclear issue and said he expects a “step-by-step” negotiation process, Bloomberg reports. Kim reportedly made the remarks while meeting with North Korean officials who met with Trump last week, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency. “Kim Jong Un said that we will believe in the positive way of thinking of President Trump, wait with patience and in good faith and, together with the U.S., advance step by step toward the goal to be reached by the two countries,” the report said. The leader also reportedly ordered “technical preparations” for his next meeting with Trump—which is expected to be in Vietnam, according to Bloomberg. Despite the high praise for Trump, Pyongyang has not made any commitments to dismantle their nuclear arsenal after the Singapore summit.
