President Obama issued his most direct warning yet to Syria Monday, threatening military action if evidence is found that President Bashar al-Assad and his regime were moving its arsenal of chemical and biological weapons. “We have communicated in no uncertain terms with every player in the region that that’s a red line for us,” Obama said. The concern stems from the intensifying of the Assad and his government’s efforts to defeat the rebel uprising. Obama said there was no evidence that the weapons have been moved yet, but he can’t be confident under current circumstances that the government would not try to deploy them.
