A 38-year-old man was indicted in Spokane, Washington, Wednesday for sending two ricin-laced letters to a federal judge, one of which also contained threats. Matthew R. Buquet made his first appearance in court after his home was searched on Saturday and he was charged with mailing threatening communication. He faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The two letters were seized last week during a routine screening at a Spokane postal service facility.
