Romney Cheers Gaddafi Death

GOP hopeful Mitt Romney was the first candidate to react to former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi’s death Thursday. “I think it’s about time,” Romney said in a town hall in Iowa, calling Gaddafi “a terrible tyrant that killed his own people and murdered Americans and others.” But GOP candidates have been criticizing President Obama’s actions in Libya for months, with Rep. Michele Bachmann the most outspoken, calling the administration’s actions “leading from behind.” Rep. Ron Paul had said that Gaddafi’s past as a “bad guy” shouldn’t justify war in Libya.
