The National Republican Senatorial Committee will stand firm in not endorsing Roy Moore’s candidacy, its chairman, Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) said Thursday. Despite President Trump and the Republican National Committee both throwing their support behind Moore, the Alabama Republican facing multiple accusations of sexual misconduct against teenaged girls, Gardner told The Weekly Standard: “Roy Moore will never have the support of the senatorial committee. We will never endorse him. We won’t support him. I won’t let that happen. Nothing will change.” Less than a month ago, Gardner was among the first Republican lawmakers to declare that he would vote to expel Moore if Alabamians elect him to the U.S. Senate.
