FrumForum alumnus Jeb Golinkin points out:

Just 1% of Americans accounted for 22% of the 1.26 trillion spent on health care in 2009, according to a new federal study. That's about $90,000 per person. 5% of the population accounted for half of total health care spending.

It almost makes market sense to assign each of the top 1% a case-worker, to figure out—is all this spending really buying anything?
