The new unemployment figures may not have been rosy today, but they still managed to boost Wall Street stocks higher than they've been in months. Spurred by hopes that the Federal Reserve will soon step up and take measures to shore up the economy, investors sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average past the 11000 mark for the first time since May. “The bad news is actually good news,” said Cort Gwon of FBN Securities. “If the numbers were going to come in OK or a bit benign, the Fed might have eased off.”
