Morgan, still appears to be the lead candidate for White House chief of staff, should the current interim chief of staff, Pete Rouse, step down. The Huffington Post’s Howard Fineman says that Tom Daschle and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are also possibilities for the job. Elsewhere in the White House shakeup: Former Clinton adviser Gene Sperling is the top candidate for Larry Summers’ old job, while press secretary Robert Gibbs could also leave the White House altogether to set up a consulting shop.
