NBC is expected to announce Monday that Ann Curry will succeed Meredith Vieira as co-host of Today, most likely starting in June. Natalie Morales, the 9 a.m. anchor of Today, would replace Curry as the show’s news anchor. The selection of Vieira to replace Katie Couric five years ago was seen by some as a slight to Curry, who had put in more than a decade on the show. Curry reportedly won a clause in her current contract that says if she did not get the promotion to co-host this time, her contract would be voided and she could start elsewhere immediately.
