After an MV-22 Osprey temporarily lost power during takeoff Wednesday over the Persian Gulf, two crewmembers bailed out before the pilot regained control. The Navy and Marine Corps are still searching for one of the men who bailed. The other was recovered and is in stable condition aboard the ship. “Our focus is on rescuing this Marine,” said Lt. Joe Hontz, a spokesman for the Navy’s Fifth fleet. The Osprey took off from the USS Makin Island, an amphibious assault ship that was deployed to support operations in Iraq and Syria.
