Two female suicide bombers blew themselves up at a Nigerian refugee camp, killing 58 people and wounding 78 early Tuesday. Dikwa camp houses some of the more than 50,000 people who had been forced from their homes by Islamist extremist group Boko Haram. A third female was expected to blow herself up, but decided not to when she recognized her parents and siblings at the camp, according to Sani Datti of Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency. She instead surrendered and warned of future attacks on the camp. The attack was apparently revenge for a recent military raid on a Boko Haram market that left 100 militants dead and saw the release of as many as 1,000 women and girls, according to local officials.
