Disney World unveiled this week a lighthouse statue honoring toddler Lane Graves, who was killed by an alligator at the resort last year. Graves, 2, was playing in a shallow part of the lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian when the attack occurred. Disney announced plans in June for the statue, which symbolizes the commemorative Lane Thomas Foundation created by Graves’ family, aiming to serve as a “beacon of hope” for families in crisis.
