It's official: the embattled relationship between Deadline.com and its founder, Nikki Finke, is over. The entertainment queen announced over Twitter two weeks ago that she would be launching her own site, and couldn't wait to "be free soon" and "report the real truth about Hollywood." Striking a different note, on Deadline, the company wrote it was "an emotional and painful parting of ways." Finke was wished well and they noted that new "significant hires" would be added to staff.
