Despite calls for President Obama to ditch V.P. Joe Biden following contentious comments he made the other day about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan trying to put people "back in chains," the White House has confirmed that old Joe isn't going anywhere. "They know that what they're saying about this is ridiculous," White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Thursday, insisting that the controversy created around Biden is an "obvious" ploy from the other side to shift public attention from more important issues.
