A 20-year-old U.S. man was sent to the intensive care unit of a Spanish hospital after a bull gored him multiple times. While at the Carnaval del Toro in Ciudad Rodrigo on Saturday, Benjamin Miller was attacked by a bull during the festivities, causing injuries to his thighs, sphincter, and back muscles. He also had a wound about 16-inches long, according to a hospital official. “It’s not the worst injury I’ve seen, but it’s the biggest goring wound I’ve ever had to operate on,” said Dr. Enrique Crespo, who treated Miller at a hospital in western Salamanca. Hospital officials said on Monday that Miller was expected to recover and would likely not need any more surgeries.
