Miley Cyrus Named Both Best and Worst Dressed: Time Magazine released its annual Best and Worst Dressed lists for the year, and as a result of her "schizophrenic fashion," Miley Cyrus made both. The nude, latex bikini and foam finger the singer wore to the VMA's earned her the top spot on the '10 Worst Dressed of 2013' list. Also joining Cyrus as worst dressed list were Kim Kardashian at number two for her floral Givenchy Met Gala gown and Anne Hathaway in second place for the nipple-centric Prada dress she wore to the Oscars. Unsurprisingly, Justin Bieber’s gas mask outfit also put him on the worst dressed side of things at number five. Cyrus also received sixth place on the '10 Best Dressed of 2013' list for the sequined, turquoise Marc Jacobs dress she wore to the 'Night of Stars' event. The list also featured Solange Knowles at number ten, Kate Middleton at number two, and Jennifer Lawrence taking the crown for the Dior gown she wore to the Oscars. [The Telegraph]
'Radiant Orchid' Named Pantone's Color of 2014: Executives at Pantone have reached a verdict—'Radiant Orchid' will be 2014's color to watch and wear. Pantone, the institute that sets color standards for the commercial garment industries, said the pinkish-purple hue is flattering on many skin tones and has the diversity to translate into nail polishes, eye shadows, lip colors, and even coffee makers. As a member of the purple family, 'Radiant Orchid' occupies the space opposite this year's color, emerald, on the color wheel, making it just as distinctive. "People associate purple with creativity and originality—and those are very valued today," said Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone. [AP]
Versace Receives Billion Dollar Offer: Following Versace's announcement earlier this year that a minority stake in the company was up for grabs, the bids have started piling in. Investment fund Fondo Strategico Italiano topped the bids with a $1.5 billion dollar offer. The state-backed fund would have a relatively passive place in the company, which according to Vogue would suit the Versace family. Also in the running was IQ Made in Italy, a company made solely to support Italian brands. Donatella herself holds a 20 percent share in the company, while her daughter, Allegra Beck, holds a controlling 50 percent. Versace is expected to meet with the first round of bidders before Christmas. [Vogue UK]
Drake Replaces Kanye West at Nike: Shortly after Kanye West announced he was leaving his stint at Nike for a $10 million dollar deal with Adidas, rapper Drake has been tapped to fill West's shoes. At his Portland, Oregon—the hometown of Nike—performance Wednesday evening, Drake told the crowd “Today also happens to be one of the best days of my life...I came to Portland and officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family.” Drake then instagrammed a series photos of previewing the upcoming collaboration.
