Bono Hospitalized for Back Surgery

Perhaps more than three decades of rocking is just too much. While preparing for U2’s upcoming world tour, lead singer Bono injured his back and was forced to undergo emergency surgery on Friday. He will spend a few days recovering in the Munich hospital where he was admitted Friday before heading home to recuperate. The band’s next concert, scheduled for June 3 in Salt Lake City, has been postponed, but it’s unclear how the rest of the tour will be affected. "Once his condition has been assessed further, a statement will be made regarding the impact on forthcoming tour dates," a message reads on the band’s website, U2.com
