Here’s a business move that makes sense: former Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz will no longer serve on the company’s board of directors. Bartz, who was fired by phone last week, initially said that she would remain on the board. A company spokesman, however, said that she would need to relinquish her position. The board wrote in an email Sunday that Bartz had resigned. The news comes as Bartz had some extremely harsh words for Yahoo’s board of “doofuses” in an interview with Fortune magazine.
