And the same is true for Eviana Hartman, a former writer for Teen Vogue and Nylon, who showcased her debut collection of eco-friendly fashion, Bodkin, on Monday. Hartman's exceedingly wearable collection, which won Ecco Domani's first-ever award for sustainable design, is made "using dyes derived from eggplants or spinach leaves, quilting from recycled bottles, and non-violent silk blessed by the Dalai Lama." Hey, a little holiness can't hurt. And neither can having worked at a handful of fashion magazines.
