How are voters supposed to believe in Republican candidates if the candidates don’t believe in themselves? Just one day after telling Iowa supporters, “We’re going to win this thing,” Mitt Romney is already walking back his confidence. The Republican frontrunner admitted, “I’m not predicting a win,” on NBC’s Today Show this morning. Romney isn’t the only presidential hopeful second-guessing himself. Yesterday Ron Paul said he thought he was “a long shot” for the White House, and Newt Gingrich confessed, “I don’t think I’m going to win.” Not with that attitude, you’re not! Candidates are making their last campaign rounds in Iowa before tonight’s caucuses.
