The Falcon 9 rocket launch that was supposed to send six Orbcomm telecommunication satellites into space was aborted on Friday due to an unexpected drop in second-stage pressure. SpaceX’s team at Cape Canaveral in Florida were unable to resolve the issue in time for the rocket’s scheduled 7:01 p.m. launch, which was called off with eight minutes left in the countdown. SpaceX is expected to reschedule the launch, possibly for Saturday at 5:46 p.m., when forecasters expect a 60 percent chance of favorable weather.
