The FBI is investigating a former White House aide to three U.S. presidents and his company after he was accused of duping investors out of millions and promising fast-tracked U.S. Green Cards to raise money for a New Orleans hotel complex, ABC reported on Monday. Air Force Col. Timothy Milbrath has denied the allegations against him and his company Nobel Outreach, while investors claim in a civil lawsuit nearly $16 million has disappeared five years after a groundbreaking ceremony where a vacant lot now stands. An internal government probe in February discovered that some of the projects under the immigration program known as EB-5, which allows foreign investors to obtain visas and subsequently Green Cards for investing, had come under criminal investigation. Nobel Outreach is one of more than 30 EB-5 projects under investigation for criminal violation.
