Something is rotten in Denmark. The country's Copenhagen Zoo appears to have a penchant for killing healthy animals. After gaining international notoriety, and even receiving death threats, for killing a healthy two-year-old giraffe earlier this year, the zoo is once again earning negative press for killing four healthy lions to make room for a new one. Marius the giraffe was publicly chopped and fed, ironically, to lions. At least they will not share quite the same gruesome fate as the giraffe.
