National Security Council Adviser Reassigned After WH Criticism

The White House reassigned a senior National Security Council adviser after it was reported that he criticized the Trump administration’s policies. According to Politico, Craig Deare, who served in the council’s Western Hemisphere division, blasted the White House and its alleged dysfunction during an off-the-record roundtable event in Washington, D.C. Sarah Sanders, a White House spokeswoman, confirmed on Monday that Deare was “sent back to his original position” at the National Defense University. “I don't think that any person that is there in order to carry out the president's agenda should be against the president's agenda," Sanders said. “It seems pretty silly that you would have someone who is not supportive of what you are trying to accomplish there to carry out that very thing.”
