Netanyahu Likely PM in Israel

It looks likely that Israeli President Shimon Peres will ask Benjamin Netanyahu, who heads the right-of-center Likud party, to form a government, the BBC reports. Avigdor Lieberman, who heads the far-right Yisrael Beiteinu party that gained a foodhold in the recent general election, said he'd like to see a "wide" coalition government that includes support from the top vote-getter Kadima, Likud and his own party with Netanyahu as prime minister. Netanyahu will have six weeks to cobble together a coalition once Peres formally invites him to start a new government.
