Your move, John Boehner. President Obama on Monday praised the Senate for passing a bill that would make it illegal for employers to discriminate based on sexual orientation. “Slowly, surely, we’re starting to see some common sense starting to prevail,” Obama told a group of donors at an Organizing for Action fundraiser. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act passed the Senate 61-30 on Monday, but it could get tied up in the House—especially since Boehner is opposed to the bill. The president on Monday urged the House to follow the Senate’s bipartisan lead, but he acknowledged that change in America has “always been slow.” Also, since when did six Republicans and every Democrat become “bipartisan”?
