Sharron Angle to Latinos: You Look Asian

Also calls herself Nevada’s “first Asian legislator.”

Do all minorities look the same to Sharron Angle? Jon Ralston at the Las Vegas Sun shares some odd remarks from the Nevada Republican last week. Angle told a group of Latino high school students, “I don’t know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me.” It’s unclear what point she was trying to get across; she went on to say, “We are a melting pot in this country.” She also said, “I’ve been called the first Asian legislator in our Nevada State Assembly.” Ralston says, “I have no idea what she is talking about.”
