Trump Administration’s Own Report: Humans the ‘Dominant Cause’ of Climate Change

New report comes despite Team Trump’s longstanding denial of any link between humans and global warming.

The Trump administration on Friday released a comprehensive climate science report affirming that humans are the driving force in causing climate change. “It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century,” the report said. “For the warming over the last century, there is no convincing alternative explanation supported by the extent of the observational evidence.” The federally mandated report contradicts claims made by the Trump administration, which has sought to downplay the human role in climate change and has rolled back several Obama-era policies intended to cap American greenhouse-gas output.
