Sarin and chlorine were “very likely” used in two attacks in Syria last year, said the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The watchdog group found that sarin was likely used as a chemical weapon in an attack in Latamneh in March 2017. Chlorine was likely used in an attack on the Latamneh Hospital the next day. OPCW used witnesses, environmental samples, and epidemiological evidence to conduct its investigation.
