Neither can top the biggest (or smallest) news of the day: The average erect penis is 5.16 inches long and has a circumference of 4.6 inches (roughly a 1.46-inch diameter). British researchers compiled penis measurement data from some 15,000 men across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the U.S., determined to help answer the age-old question of what’s a “normal” penis size. The researchers also determined that the average size of a flaccid penis is 3.6 inches in length and 3.7 inches in girth (or a 1.2-inch diameter). Lest you think the scientists were crunching the numbers for the ultimate pissing contest, the team said they were aiming to help calm fears of men with “small penis anxiety.” Besides, it’s not the size of the ship but how it sails.
