There's a new administration but no letup in the war on terror: Thirty people, most of them thought to be militants, were killed today after suspected US missiles slammed into a compound in Pakistan, near the Afghan border. It was the most lethal drone strike since Obama took office, and its target was a compound owned by an associate of Pakistan Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud—who's been blamed for the death of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto—and militants linked to the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Taliban fighters surrounded the wrecked compound after it was struck by two missiles, preventing outsiders from approaching the bodies of the dead, said to be mainly Uzbeks and Arabs.
