CBS is clearly willing to accept controversial Super Bowl ads, as evidenced by its decision to air the Focus on the Family Super Bowl ad featuring Tim Tebow. Why, then, does it appear to be giving a gay-dating site the cold shoulder? ManCrunch.com submitted an ad and was told that, while the spot had not been officially approved yet, “all the Super Bowl spots were sold out.” But a representative from the network told Pop Tarts that advertising spots are still open. ManCrunch officials think that CBS has no intention of airing the ad, “but do not want to officially ‘reject’ the spot out of fear there may be a backlash from gay advocacy groups.”
