Soccer Star Wayne Rooney Draws Like Picasso?

Do the U.K.’s biggest soccer stars have brushwork as impressive as their footwork? A new collection of self-portraits by players in the English Premier Football League is garnering both publicity and donations, with one expert comparing Manchester United player Wayne Rooney’s style to Picasso’s. “He's a forward-thinker, an analyzer who wants to know what's what in everything,” said the expert. A total of 40 players from the league contributed their own self portraits for a book called The Art of Football, which is up for auction this week at Football Extravaganza, football’s longest-running annual charity event.
