Bob Feller was known as many things: teenage pitching sensation, World War II hero, and outspoken Hall of Famer. He died Wednesday night at the age of 92, succumbing to leukemia after remaining remarkably fit into his later years. Feller ended his career with 2,581 strikeouts and three no-hitters and still maintains a seemingly untouchable win record with the Cleveland Indians. He also holds club records in innings pitched and shutouts. "Bob has been such an integral part of our fabric, so much more than an ex-ballplayer, so much more than any Cleveland Indians player," said Indians manager Larry Dolan. "He is Cleveland, Ohio." Feller took a break from baseball to fight in World War II, becoming the first Major League Baseball player to enlist.
